2008 Christmas Letter
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE FANNIN’S!
We want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a bright New Year!
2008 Fannin Update:
Austin will be twelve in a month. He had an exciting year in soccer, coming in 2nd place. Some of his enjoyments in life are, his friends, soccer, reading, and scouts. He’s working hard in school and is very conscientious. Austin is kind, energetic and always brings a smile to our face!
Melissa is our incredibly talented blogger. Her photography class keeps her snapping pictures and adding them to our blog. She is psyched about taking a lyrical dance class and is performing in a Christmas show. “I love dancing more than anything! I’m excited to be a senior this year and looking forward to attending BYU.” Recently, Melissa completed her Personal Progress and actually memorized the entire Living Christ. A direct link to the Living Christ is posted below. Melissa is helpful, a wonderful sister to Austin and a choice daughter, we are so proud of her and love her so much!
John continues to work on house projects in his spare time. We love and appreciate John’s dedication to us. John is awesome!
Denise was called to serve as the Educational Counselor in Relief Society. She is enjoying life and her family.
Our family feels very blessed this year as we were spared from two circumstances that most likely would have had frightening results….
In January of this year, Denise happened to pull into the driveway with about a six second window of time, where she encountered two teenage boys standing on her porch. After speaking with them briefly, they walked away. Denise had a suspicious impression and quickly notified the police. About 10 minutes later, the police caught a 14 year old boy driving a stolen “get-away-car” who led the police to the two 18 year old boys. They were running, after robbing a house a few houses down from our home.
We are also very thankful Austin didn’t continue to fall down a very steep slope on a scout trip this past summer. He stumbled and tumbled over his backpack a couple times, when John caught him. We are counting our blessings and know we were truly protected.
Our families are all doing well. We love them and all of you, our friends. May this choice of all Seasons be a reminder of our Saviors love and bring us joy always.
